Mikayla started skiing with her dad when she was just 7 months old. As the youngest of 4 children, she was always being challenged. During 10th grade at Stratton Mountain School, she lived up to those challenges when she was awarded one of our 2014-2015 ski racing scholarships. Since then, she has been accepted into the U16 National Training Group and is excited about the new possibilities of competing with other exceptional athletes.
Quest is a 10th grader at Woodstock High School and raced for the first time this 2014/2015 season with the PICO Ski Club racing in USSA sanctioned events. He describes himself as a small-in-stature racer with a big heart. He hopes to finish in the top 50% of the High School races while improving his technique at Pico, where he is learning the ropes of racing in USSA sanctioned events.
Rylee is a Carrabassett Valley Academy skier and she is only in 9th grade. CVA has a history of producing many talented skiers and snowboarders since it was established in 1982; including Bode Miller. Don’t let her age fool you, she was ranked as the top woman skier in Maine in 2014. Ski racing must run in the family as her 17 year old sister is also a competitive racer. One of Rylee’s goals for the future is to compete at National Training Camps with older and more experienced racers.
